Meeting at the bull ring
Meeting at the statue of Lord Horatio Nelson at the foot of the world famous Bull Ring and New Street. Walking along we take you Winston Churchills favourite hotel as well as where the famous Rivers Of Blood speech was presented.
Coming down Colmore Row you will come past the Grand Hotel which opened it’s doors in 1885 and stands proud in the City today. On to St Philips Cathedral with all it’s history dating back to 1715.
Down now to Victoria Square. Here you see the Council House, the “Floozie In The Jacuzzi” and the statue of Queen Victoria, erected only a few days before her death in 1901.
We then move to Centenary Square on your Birmingham walking tour. From war time heroes to theatre, inventors not to mention the politics, this area has see a lot of history and change. We take you to see Baskerville House, The Hall Of Memory & Birminghams World Famous Library, the ICC, Symphony Hall and the Rep Theatre. From here, we move to the canal network. This Birmingham icon helped to bring goods in to build the City and remains in integrally important to this day.
Finish on Broad Street
